If you are a keen golfer then you will be well aware of the price of purchasing golf clubs. These days golf clubs can cost hundreds of dollars and when you need to purchase an entire set this can make the sport a very expensive one. However, there are a few ways in which you can purchase these clubs for less.
One of these is to go into your local golf shop and find out if there are any demo clubs that they are willing to sell. Many of these golf shops will have driving ranges where customers can practice using these demo clubs. Often they may run out of use of them and therefore want to sell them on.
You can certainly get clubs that have only been slightly used at a fraction of the price as well. Many golfers are perfectionists when it comes to their equipment. If they purchase a new club, go out and play, and it doesn’t work for them then they may simply sell it on immediately and purchase something brand-new. They may well be selling them on craigslist or eBay and therefore have a look to see if you can find something cheaper there.
If your local store does not do demo clubs then it may just be that they do trade-ins. Here you can bring along some of the old clubs that you have been using and see if you can trade them in for some of the value of purchasing a new club.
Scratch golfers may also want to get sponsored. Obviously this isn’t going to be available for everyone but if you really have some serious talent then you may be able to find some sponsorship and therefore get your clubs for free.
