Playability Review;
Let me start by saying that if golf clubs were based solely on looks, The Callaway X 20 would win! When you address this club to the ball the irons setup immaculately. Recently Callaway has made their irons somewhat smaller and it makes the club much better to line up. Self-belief is the result to golf and these irons deliver just that. When I had these clubs out on the range I noticed how good my shots felt even though I was hitting those extremely hard range balls. As with all Callaway gear these irons are forgiving. While I was doing this Callaway X 20 review I noticed you don’t lose nearly as much distance on off center hits compared to other brands. This is where Callaway Golf excels. They have continually sold the most forgiving golf equipment. This is great as even a 5 handicapper doesn’t have a magnificent golf swing every time. The next thing that I noticed was how consistent I was with these clubs. These irons are truly pin seekers!
All of Callaway Golf’s best X Series iron technology combines with traditional styling for tour-level looks and feel. X Series irons have always been about performance and forgiveness. The Callaway X 20 Tour irons advance that heritage with design elements more accomplished players will relish.
I think the X-20s are a brilliant all-round design that is well synchronized to any playing conditions. So if you are after a forgiving, good-looking set of irons that perform exquisitely, instead of the most forgiving set of irons you can get your hands on, I reckon the Callaway X-20 set ticks all the right boxes.
