The golf game requires control, consistency, and accuracy for hitting the ball and driving it towards the target. To achieve this, golfers must try to achieve the perfect golf swing needed for each shot. As the objective of the game is to take the least amount of strokes at each hole, you will no doubt want to improve your golf swing.
The Perfect Golf Swing is a Myth!
When talking about how to improve your golf swing, it is generally assumed that we are talking about the conventional or traditional swing. Trying to achieve the Perfect Golf Swing with this style is a very difficult task. The majority of PGA Tour pros use the traditional swing; if it was easy to master you wouldn’t see them slicing or hooking their ball into the trees.
A Perfect Impact is what Counts Most
Most PGA professionals have somewhat unconventional golf swings. What counts though, is how they make perfect impact and not about the perfect golf swing. If you have taken golf instruction or read a golf swing book, you will have realized that there are many factors that make up the golf swing and for the beginner golfer it can seam unattainable to put all these factors together consistently.
Some of the components that you have to think about are cocking your wrist near the top of the back-swing and then releasing it, finishing the back-swing with your club parallel to the ground and pointing towards the target line, and the moment of the weight shift. Would it not be better to simplify your golf swing instead?
The Simple Golf Swing
Like many golfers, I have struggled to dominate the traditional swing. I then read about a Simple Swing that has fewer movements to it and so decided to give it a go. Believe me, it was the best decision I had made as my golf game is now more consistent and I have better accuracy and more distance.
A Good Foundation is the Key
If you want to improve your golf swing, the first things to learn are the correct setup position, grip, and alignment. Without learning these basics, it doesn’t matter what type of swing you go with, your results will not be good.
A “New” Perfect Golf Swing
By learning how to implement the simple swing I now have a perfect golf swing. It might not look as beautiful as Tiger Woods golf swing, but it gives me the results that I desired. Basically, it involves a shorter backswing, less lateral movement, pivoting around the spine, and moving all the body parts involved in coordination by keeping them connected.
Finding a swing that actually works for you is the only way to Improve Your Swing. This simple swing method will make for a repeatable golf swing and will result in a more consistent and accurate game on the course.
