How to Improve Golf Drive

The shot off the tee is the starting point of a golf game therefore is the most important, your outcomes are reflected vigorously depending on how well you direct the golf ball. The tee shot can be difficult for people who are inexperienced. The question that should be asked by these types of golfers is how can I fix this problem and driving the ball better? You my fellow golfer are about to find out. Follow the few steps and techniques I am about to share with you then go out there and implement them.

At the start check your stance. Stand at a comfortable distance away from the ball standing up right . Be sure to keep your feet shoulder width apart, this will provide you with a sturdy stance to drive the ball.

For more golf driving tips please feel free to click here Golf Driving Tips

You might need to loosen up in your swing. If you have a tight grip loosen up on that aspect aswel. This gives you the freedom to create a faster club speed to whip out the driver for a longer drive distance. Believe me when I say this that many golfers assume that tensing up and showing all muscle is going to create greater distance with your drives. This is not true. Timing, power and flexibility and technique come as one to project the perfect swing.

Make sure that during your downswing not to come over the top of the ball, it can cause you to slice. Using too much upper body instead of using of your powerhouse is the cause of this. To create immense power in your swing be aware that it is your core and your legs that drive the power for your swing.

Keep it simple and don’t complicate things too much, implementing the basic fundamentals will give you an edge.

I thank you for reading this and I hope you gained great value.

Fix Your Golf Swing

One of the questions that I think a lot of people would like to know is, “how long will it take to fix my golf swing .In the next sections, I show you some different approaches you can take.  After reading them, it’s up to you to decide which approach you will take.

Swing Fix 1 – Buying New Equipment

Every golfer has bought new clubs at one time or another to help change their game.   Now, I don’t want to totally discount this fix because buying new clubs can help your game if you’re playing the wrong clubs, or your clubs are not properly fitted to you and your swing. What you should do, is find an experienced clubfitter and have your clubs fitted and your swing checked.

Buying new clubs gives you a quick fix in another way. Newer clubs feel different from your old clubs. When you hit shot with them, you aren’t thinking about your swing because they feel so different. This different feeling clears your mind but not for long.A couple of weeks after using your new clubs, they don’t feel all that different so you start thinking about your swing again.  My advice here is to quit trying new clubs.

As I said above, find a clubfitter and have your clubs professionally fitted.Once you do that, you really should focus on your swing.

Swing Fix 2 – Swing Tips

We’ve all picked up the latest golf magazine and tried the latest free golf tips hoping they will magically get our game back on track.  The problem is, most people don’t know their swing well enough to determine if, in fact, these tips would apply to their swing. If you don’t know your swing well enough and you keep trying these tips, you may make your swing worse. Plus, a tip is just a tip.  It’s not necessarily going to improve your fundamentals.

An example would be to try a stonger grip.Even though a tip like this may help you sqaure the clubface better through impact, you are still not doing the correct grip. You should be very careful the next time you go to work on the latest tip you find in a magazine, or from your buddy.  A good idea would be to discuss the tip with your head pro or teaching pro first to see if it would be a good fit for your game.  Then, and only then, would you attempt to try it.It it works, that’s fantastic!

Swing Fix 3 – No Focus

So many golfer’s are searching for the instant cure that they get caught up into experimenting with too many changes at once. This approach will never work.  Unfortunately, this is only going to lead to confusion.Plus, you may end up trying so many different things that you forget what actually worked.   Even if you did find something that worked, it may have been luck. The only way you truly know if this way of working on your swing is a success is if you remain successful in the future.

Swing Fix 4 – Only Work on 1 Thing

The best thing you can do to fix your golf swing is to work on one thing untl you have it mastered.  In doing so, you stay focused only on that thing which means you aren’t going to experiment and try 5 different things at once.If you’re going to work on your swing this way, then you are going to need a swing coach or a method to follow.Working on your swing this way will make the changes permanent because you will spend more time on each posiiton without distractions. Now, I know that you’re probably thinking this is going to take a long time. When you compare way of fixing your swing to the others, you really will getter better, faster this way.

The reason is, the other ways I described only present a short term fix whereas, isolating one part of your swing develops the right fundamentals that will stay with your long into the future.

How To Master The Inner Game Of Golf

As golf players, we are always pushing to perfect our game. It is a continual battle for improvement that seams never ending. Even the professional golfers are constantly working on their game. That shows you how difficult golf can be when you see even the pros struggling to maintain a constant level.

Why is it that only about 5% of all the golfers in the World can break 70? What is it that those golfers have that we have not got? According to golf manufacturers and their advertising claims, we need the same expensive golf equipment that the pros use to play to their level.

That obviously is marketing hype, as you can now pick up the same driver that a PGA star used last year for under $200. So, many of us do have technologically advanced clubs and golf balls that the pros use; why are we still unable to break 70 or even 80?

30 years ago 25% of golfers broke 90 and today that number has only risen to 28%. Multi-billion investments have gone into developing new technology for golf club and ball construction. Also, millions have been spent by advertisers trying to push these products on the unsuspecting golfer.

There are clubs today that are easier to play, have over-sized heads, are more forgiving to miss-hits, plus golf balls that can fly straighter and further. And yet the vast bulk of golfers are still struggling to break the 90 barrier! It appears that the perfect golf game can not be bought; not even with the dozens of new golf training aids, modern instruction methods, or the many golf swing guides.

There must be something that the top 5% of golfers know that we don’t. It appears that that “thing” that they possess is mastery of the Mental Game of Golf. That is the missing ingredient that can promote the quickest and most lasting change in any golfer’s game. It is interesting to note that this is the only area that doesn’t cost a penny to use, however hardly anyone uses it.

The mental golf game: Using your mind in a calculated, methodical and focused way is the surest method of improving your game and lowering your scores. Mastering the Inner Game of Golf can do wonders for your game. But you have to understand how to implement the methods.

After you do, you will have confidence in yourself and your game, be able to control your attention, cure your golf nerves and anxiety, have clear focus and mental toughness, and eliminate anger from your game – plus many more benefits.

Knowledge of the mental game of golf is what separates the top 5% of golfers from the rest of us. You can see it in action on the PGA Tour because all those guys have access to the same equipment, golf swing gurus, and putting instructors. The difference between them comes down to how well they master their mental game of golf during each tournament.

It is difficult for them to maintain high levels of concentration and focus, at their level with all the pressure, week after week and year after year. That is why even the likes of Tiger Woods can not win every major in a year or even dominate the majority of events in a season, every season.

But for weekend golfers like us, understanding and using mental golf techniques can have an immediate and long lasting positive affect on our playing level. It is the fastest way to take your game to the next level and lower your golf scores. If you would like more information on how to start, then read How to Learn the Mental Game of Golf. You will also find a couple of free reports, Mental Game Tips and Mental Game Self Assessment, that you can download to get you started.

Golf fitness Training Guide

There are basic fundamentals you are to acquire to playing really good golf. I’m guessing you have an excellent handicap and I know for a fact you are wanting an edge to increase your swing speed.

I am going to bring to an awareness of the importance of golf fitness training.

Please feel free to go here for more golf fitness tips at Fitness Tips For Golf

The benefits of Golf Strength Training are having an increased swing speed and also saving yourself from
potentially career threatening injuries. Although Strength training can bulk up your muscles and cause limited movement in your swing but this is where flexibility comes in.

The most important part of Golf Fitness training I am going to talk about is the importance of having a strong core. This is your midsection that I’m talking about. Most people tend to work on their biceps, triceps, pecks, and shoulders alot. But are never aware that having a strong core creates the power to execute absolute power.

Let me share with you some advice and strategies to help you create a strong, flexible, and toned body core to help you power out your swing and have your fellow golfer’s jaw dropping at your distance.

It is important to be aware of current diet, is it serving you and complimenting your training? If not, change it straight away, you will never get gains eating fastfood.

For Golf Training focus on eating on a regular basis fresh lean meats with no fat on them, fish and chicken and also eggs and peanuts. These foods contain pure sources of protein to help repair muscle tissue after a work out. Recovery is really important. Also drink plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated and your  muscles replenished.

Now that you have that sorted I highly recommend you buy a swiss ball or maybe a high quality ab and back
workout machine. If you are not so confident at exercising these muscles I recommend you seek advice of an  expert or a personal trainer to show you some techniques and drills to get you maximum results. A swiss ball is all you need for your core. A swiss ball can be used to build on other muscle groups aswel to create even more power and a more flexible rotation in your swing.

I hope I have inspired to go out there and take action

Lower Your Golf Handicap

I am assuming you are here for one reason and that’s to lower your golf handicap, if I’m right, you are reading the article for you.

The aim for me is to help you get something from this article which I hope can take your game to infinity and beyond.

Here are a few tips and strategies I highly recommend on how to lower your golf handicap.

Learning the basic techniques in the game of golf will serve you well in improving your overall game of golf. Your golf handicap is not quite the same as your score in a single game of golf. Take this for example, After making a 10 over par in a single game it is virtually hard to gauge what your golf handicap is. But you can determine your golf handicap after having played several games. Another thing to point out is your handicap is not determined by your average score. In other words, typically someone who has a handicap of 7 to 9 will have a common score of 10 over par . Various golf courses that you have played on and the ratings that accompany those courses will actually give you a more accurate calculation of your handicap.

Professionals in golf recommend by lowering your golf handicap it is key to focus on your putting and wedging skills. Although your handicap can be effected If you misjudge a shot by falling short of the green. By simply focussing on your putting and wedge and taking the time to improve them then this can effectively shave off a few points to your golf handicap. before shooting the ball in the hole you often land the ball on the green so the putter will be the obvious choice, also your wedge skills will come in handy when you are just off the green.

Do you have a burning desire to become a pro in golf, checkout lowering your golf handicap

Generically if your short game improves your long game does as well. Taking note that you are concious of your playing style in your short game, inevitably your handicap will lower. Once you see that vast difference in your rating will have an overall impact in lowering your handicap.

Probably your self confidence and belief is the most important aspect to take into consideration. Usually when golfers produce below average results is a direct reflection of their lack of certainty. Being anxious or fear of failure is the case, it is natural and ok to feel this way! Stay calm and composed. Its important to have confidence in your ability and focussing on what you want.

Your self confidence is usually reflected in your repitition of your skills.  Don’t be afraid to make mistakes, if you learn to accept this and understand that it is just a learning process then you will learn very quickly and begin to improve on those areas of your golf game. With the advice given to you outlined above you will fast track your progress and lower your golf handicap.

Looking to get that edge on your competition, check out How To Break 80 Review

Why Golf Has Become so Expensive

In the past golf used to be a game that could have been played anywhere in a relaxing environment with family or friends. A few years ago you used to be able to play on some of the best known greens in the country for a small fee.

But things have changed recently golf has become a lot more mainstream. I mean it is all over the media, even one of the most famous sports personalities in the world Tiger Woods is a golf player. With the recent release in next generation computer consoles such as the Nintendo Wii even young kids are getting into golf, maybe not on the greens but definatley in the virtual reality world.

So this has all lead to the price to play one round of the game reach a ridiculous level. A regular person can no longer afford to play on a lot of well known greens, it has just become so expensive, it seems as though the only people that will really get away with it are rich people such as company directors.

Below is a basic comparison as taken from the Telegraph as to how much the prices have literally changed over the last decade.

Course                    1991     2009
Carnoustie               £35     £130
Muirfield                   £40     £175
Royal Birkdale           £32     £165
Royal Liverpool         £25     £150
Royal Lytham           £25    £137
Royal St George's £30 £180
St Andrews £30 £130
Turnberry                £40     £210
Sunningdale             £58     £190
Wentworth              £100     £210

As you can see prices on some of the most famous courses have nearly quadrupled over the last few years. Which simply indicates just how expensive golf has become to play. The best thing I would personally recommend especially now during the credit crunch is to get you golf trolleys top up your leisure batteries and head for the nearest free golf green. Although its good to play on a well renowned green it is not essential.

Cure Golf Slice

The most common problem that the average golfer tends to do is slice the golf ball more often than not. The average golfer also tends to get really frustrated due not knowing how to cure golf slice. In other words it is human nature not to bother fixing the problem. It is actually quite easy to rectify this problem. Here are some strategies I am about to share with you to stop golf slice, after reading this you will virtually be able to go and practice these strategies on the range.

Tired of your slice. Find out at How To Stop Golf Slice

Pre Golf Swing Preparation

First, make sure your legs are spread apart in the same width as your shoulders. Very important to note that your shoulders are in line with the target. Angle your left foot slightly outside your left shoulder while keeping your right foot pointed in alignment with your right shoulder.Make sure you hold this stance at keep relaxed and natural at all times. These small measured adjustments maybe simple, but it will certainly make a big difference to your direction of projection and distance. Before blasting the ball at the driving range practice your stance before your shot so it will become second nature to you.

Correct Golf Club Grip

Your golf club grip is another contributing factor and effects the flight angle of the ball. Grip the club handle with your left hand and ensure that your thumb runs along the golf club shaft. Cover your left hand with the palm of your right hand having it placed on top of your left thumb, also have your right thumb running along the shaft. Important to notice your grip tension. Gripping the club to tight will more likely make you over rotate and cause you to hook the ball.

To make things more efficient keep note of where the back of hands are facing when gripping the club, have the back of the left hand pointed at the target and have your right hand facing the other way. It is important to keep practicing and staying consistent until this becomes second nature.

Tips On Golf Swing

To be more efficient in correcting golf slice be aware of your golf swing. This is key. When attempting the backswing ensure you are not too stiff and keep your arms, shoulders and body as natural as possible. Now with the downswing power with your midsection ensure that you keep your eye on the ball. Important tip to remember is to keep your head down even after contact during the follow through. Give that a go! Practice these simple golf swing tips to help yourself cure golf slice. Sooner or later you will have fellow golfers watching you with amazement. Remember to Practice, Repitition is the master of skill.

Before You Buy-Golf GPS Review

If you are an avid golfer, I’m sure you will enjoy any of the many golf gps units on the market.  There is nothing more irritating to me then having the next group of golfers breathing down my back as I’m trying to determine what club to use on my next shot.  It used to be a routine of looking for markers and then estimating your distance to the green.  Any golfer can relate to this.  GPS technology has provided us with a great answer to this problem with the production of the many golf GPS units on market.  In fact, there are now so many golf GPS units available that you really should read some golf GPS reviews before deciding which is the best for you.

GPS navigation for travel have been around for quite some time but it is only fairly recent that major GPS sytem manufacturers have sports GPS systems.  The basic benefit of the golf GPS receiver is that it will tell the user the exact distance to the green.  Nothing could help the user more with course management then knowing quickly, the distance to the green or how far that menacing bunker is from his position and all provided with just one look at his golf GPS.  Golf GPS has definitely brought the game into the 21st century.  No more having to guess on positioning and distance and most importantly, no more taking that precious extra time of searching for markers and estimating ball location.  The new Golf GPS systems do all the hard work for you and allows you to simply enjoy the game.

These golf gps are easy to use and quite affordable.  The basic uses allow you to instantly know the distance to front of the green and the back of the green but they are capable of much more.  If you want to determine the distance to bunkers, water hazards, or fairway boundaries, just look at your golf  GPS instead of taking a guess or pacing off the distance yourself.  As each new model comes on the market they seem to provide you with more and more options.

The majority of golf courses in the United States have already been mapped so the advantage of using the GPS is obvious.  If you happen to find an obscure course which hasn’t been mapped, it just takes a bit of time and you can actually map it yourself.  You simply map out the green positions as you walk the course and the next time you play the course, you’ll be all set.

The Sky Caddie GPS SG5, GolfLogix, uPro, Sonocaddie, iGolf, and the Golf Buddy are among the most popular golf GPS systems.  These popular GPS units all provide the basics of calculating yardage but they also offer many additional functions that can aid you in your round of golf.  Unfortunately you still have to find your ball, but from that point on, play becomes so easy you’ll have nothing to do but enjoy your game.  You simply locate your ball, take a look at your golf GPS and select the club of your choice.  Swing away and enjoy the play.

There are many reasons that golf GPS units are now the most sought after golf accessory.  They not only make your game more enjoyable but easier and faster to play.  So its a pretty good bet that you’ll enjoy and benefit from any GPS you chose, just take your time and check out some reviews to decide which is the best golf GPS for you.  A good suggestion is to compare models within the same price range.  There are additions to the golf GPS line every month so jump in and enjoy your game

Misunderstanding With Free Golf Swing Tips

Since there are so many tips that are for free from the free clothing tips, the free golf swing tips, the upward swing tips, free golf driving tips, the stance tips, the list just never seems to end. all these terms may seem like learning a whole new language for a person who doesn’t have any knowledge about the game of golf. And as for the scoring that is enough to make anyone who knows nothing about golf more uncertain. So what about the free golf swing tips?

Are these free golf swing tipsabout swingers and swinging with other folk, or is it the way the thing some golfers call a club is held? Yes, it is the way the thing is held. Now which thing gets used with what problem or should we say with what we are supposed to be doing? Any why is there a piece of secluded beach sand in the middle of nowhere on the golf course?

Is this were the free golf swing tips come into play that you do not grab onto the closest tree and see how far you swing and jump into the sand pit, seeing how much of a dent you can make in it. Yes, the free golf swing tips for those places are: don’t even think about it!

Free Golf Swing Tips- More Irritable Confusing Questions!

And what is with all the ponds? How is that part of the free golf swing tips? Okay, we just don’t get it! Could someone with more golfing aptitude please make clear, besides the fact that those little dents on the ball are called dimples? And did you know there are three hundred and fifty six of them apparently, yes it does sound nearly like the amount of days in an average year, just slightly back to front. Now how on earth would those help with getting some free golf swing tips? So what is up with the ponds filled with all those balls?

Do the fish in the ponds feed on the balls or is it just a place to lose them intentionally? Is that the place where you send all donated golf balls that you no longer want to use? Gees, what a collection after a month of extreme golfing can be finally donated to those not being able to afford buying their own golf balls continuously.

Maybe it is the caddy’s way of collecting balls for him to practice while the professionals are not around, he would be just practicing what all the experts have mentioned over the years to see if they are being true in their advice.
